The Le Corbusier Site in Firminy is inviting applications for the design and production of the exhibition design for the temporary exhibition “Prolonger le geste. André Wogenscky and Marta Pan – Active Architecture and Sculpture”, which will run from 9 April to 14 November 2027 at the Church of Saint-Pierre in Firminy.

This call for proposals is open to designers, architects, exhibition designers and graphic designers, as well as multidisciplinary teams wishing to collaborate on a project combining architecture, heritage and contemporary creation.

A project at the heart of an iconic site of modern architecture

Listed as a historic monument, the Church of Saint-Pierre – Le Corbusier’s last major work, completed after his death – will host an exhibition dedicated to the dialogue between the architect André Wogenscky, Le Corbusier’s long-standing collaborator, and the sculptor Marta Pan.

Candidates are invited to conceive an exhibition design capable of showcasing the works on display whilst respecting the constraints of this exceptional heritage site. Particular attention will be paid to the aesthetic quality of the proposal, its alignment with the exhibition’s scientific theme, and its integration into the building’s architecture.

Budget and scope of work

The scope of work includes scenographic design, production supervision, coordination of set-up and dismantling, as well as support for the project right through to its opening.

The estimated budget is:

• €15,000 (including VAT) for scenography project management fees;
• €30,000 (including VAT) for the creation of the scenography and museographic displays.

Proposals must incorporate the principles of eco-design, the reuse of materials and compliance with the constraints associated with the building’s heritage status.

This call for proposals represents a wonderful opportunity for designers, architects and scenographers from Wallonia-Brussels wishing to develop a project within a major site of European modern heritage.
