Food Connections 2026 is a unique opportunity to meet key players in the Walloon agri-food industry and identify new opportunities for collaboration. The event will bring together more than 450 industry professionals: food companies, producers, innovative SMEs, clusters, service providers and innovation experts.

For designers, this is an opportunity to forge links with companies seeking to stand out through design, strengthen their brand, develop new products or revamp their packaging. Informal discussions and networking sessions can lead to concrete collaborations in areas such as branding, packaging design, eco-design, service design and customer experience.

Design + Agri-Food

The initiative will consist of two key events. Firstly, a conference open to all Food Connections participants, featuring presentations by Clio Brzakala (Wallonie Design) and Luc Vandensteene (Ex Nihilo), who will share their expertise and provide concrete examples of how design can support innovation, differentiation and business development.

Secondly, a small-group workshop will bring together companies from the biocontrol sector to explore, in more detail, the challenges, opportunities and methods for integrating design into their growth projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the agri-food sector’s needs, expand your professional network and meet potential clients or partners for your future projects.

Background

This initiative is led by Wagralim and Fevia Wallonie, with Wallonie Design contributing content relating to design and innovation.
