The organisers of the Belgian Fashion Awards are launching the 2025 edition with a call open to professional candidates, in addition to the long list drawn up by the jury.
To be nominated for one of the awards, submit your application before 27.05.2025 at 23:59.
Who can apply?
The call is open to professionals and companies active in the fashion sector in Belgium.
The categories
The awards cover a wide range of categories, 8 for 2025, including some new ones:
- Designer of the Year
- Creative of the Year
- Changemaker of the Year
- Accessory Designer of the Year
- Company of the Year (new)
- Emerging Talent of the Year
- Model of the Year (new)
- Love Brand of the Year (previously known as Brand of the Year)
Timetable and selection process
- 8 May 2025: Launch of the call for proposals
- 27 May 2025: Deadline for applications. Submit your application before 23:59 to be considered for nomination.
- 28 May 2025: First selection round – Internal jury.
Composition of the final list: The 10 best candidates in each of the 7 categories go through to the next round. The Love Brand of the Year will not be voted on in the second and third rounds, but will be chosen by the general public in October 2025. - June – July 2025: Second selection round – Voting by 200 industry professionals.
A group of 200 fashion professionals (‘The Industry 200’) vote online in the 7 categories. The top 3 candidates per category are selected for the final round. - September 2025: Third selection round – Official BFA Jury.
The jury meets to review the final shortlist and select one winner per category. - November 2025: Awards ceremony.
All winners will be announced and celebrated at the Belgian Fashion Awards 2025 ceremony.
