The first Arab World Fashion Award is now open. The prize is awarded to a fashion designer from the Arab world or its diasporas who demonstrates creative vision, cultural influence and an innovative approach to fashion design.
The prize is initiated by the Arab World Institute and aims to promote and support fashion designers from the Arab world and its diasporas, celebrating cultural heritage, creativity and innovation in fashion.
Projects will be judged in two categories:
- Emerging talent: rewarding a talent that is not yet fully established but whose impact, vision, creativity and potential for development have caught the attention of the jury.
- Innovative Talent: rewarding a talent whose approach, materials and/or techniques used, technological innovations or innovations in the production process have caught the attention of the jury.
Who is eligible?
The competition is open to fashion designers who are nationals of an Arab League country or part of its diaspora.
Selection process and prizes
The finalists will be selected in July 2025 by a selection committee. They will then be assessed by a professional jury made up of leading figures from the fashion world in France and the Arab region.
The winners will be announced and awarded at a ceremony at the Arab World Institute in October 2025, following Paris Fashion Week.
