We organise support and promotion programmes for established professionals in the fashion and design sector.

What can WBDM do for you?

  • Belgium is Design

    The project

Belgium is Design promotes Belgian design on the international scene, through a programme of collective campaigns at the international level.

    The objective

Belgium is Design is a statement of passion for design, highlighting the unique characteristics of Belgian design. It valorises the many talented designers from Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia who transcend cultural, linguistic and sociological divides to form a unique style.

    The partners

A joint programme between the three regions of the country with Flanders DC for Design and MAD – Home of Creators/Hub Brussels.

  • Participation in international events

    The programme

In the context of Belgium is Design, WBDM regularly organises (independently or in collaboration) collective attendance abroad during key events: exhibitions, collective stands at international fairs (e.g. Maison&Objet, Milan Design Week, New York Textile Month, etc.).

    The objective

To open doors and facilitate meetings with international professionals. To this end, the selected designers are prepared for their participation in the event by WBDM. We provide support that aims to professionalise the communication media, contacts with the press, transport of equipment abroad, etc.

    How to apply?

A call for applications is launched, based on which a jury selects the participants. The jury is made up of either the exhibition organisers or a selection committee set up in Belgium.

    Admission requirement

The applicant needs to be an established professional in the design sector, and based in Wallonia or Brussels, Belgium.
