BEDA’s vision is for design to be seen in Europe as an engine for sustainable growth and prosperity. The organisation, established in 1969, has 51 members in 26 European countries and is based in Brussels. These members (who promote design at many levels) represent designers based in Europe, in all disciplines: from industrial and interior design to digital design and branding.

BEDA’s mission is to raise awareness of the importance of design as a tool for growth, as a driver for change and for improving the competitiveness of European industry and the lives of European citizens.

In this way, WBDM can provide designers in Wallonia and Brussels with a network of European contacts, information on available European funds and useful standard documents.
