  • Do you feel the need to share your experience with other professionals to find answers to your doubts?

WBDM is offering a new series of workshops with experts to enable groups of up to 8 designers and/or fashion industry professionals to review or perfect their global and/or digital strategy, with a focus on international development. The aim of these workshops is to provide personalised support for participants in a collaborative environment where they can exchange ideas with other professionals in their sector.

Export strategy workshop – action plan

Who?Alok Nandi, Architempo

Who is it for? For designers and managers of design and/or fashion projects who are (re)implementing a development strategy outside Belgium.

What’s on the agenda? By bringing together designers and fashion and design companies, these workshops will enable participants to reflect in depth on their global export strategy. They will favour a collaborative and participative approach, centred on the entrepreneurial project of each designer/company, while remaining pragmatic and action-oriented. At the end of these 3 sessions, participants will be equipped with decision-making tools to develop strategies, narratives and action plans.

When? On 12, 18 and 22 September 2023, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Export strategy workshop – fashion

Who? Astrid Lefèvre, We Love Belgian Brands

Who is it for? For fashion designers (clothing, accessories, jewellery) who are structuring the international development of their fashion project on one or more foreign markets.

What’s on the agenda? Astrid Lefèvre will be tackling a range of subjects with a highly operational approach, focused on results and always with a great deal of kindness.
3 of the main subjects that will be covered during the workshops:

  • (Re)defining your brand identity (its uniqueness, its universe);
  • Working on your offer (coherence/relevance/regularity);
  • Getting to know your end customer and your competitors.

At the end of these sessions, each participant will be able to put in place a concrete action plan, with an ambitious strategy and objectives that are achievable and measurable over time.

When ? Thursday 12 October 2023 from 10.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 13 October 2023 from 10.00am to 2.30pm.

Going digital on international markets – la Base

Who? Vaya Sigmas

Who is it for? Designers of fashion projects (clothing, accessories, jewellery) who have created and marketed a quality product and who want to develop a coherent and attractive digital presence to extend their commercial activities via the Internet.

What’s on the agenda? This workshop aims to make a brand’s website the heart of its online business. Participants will emerge from these sessions with a solid understanding of the digital tools essential to their digital development. They will master the key concepts and tools for creating a good user experience on their site and a good brand and marketing experience across all their touchpoints. They will know how to implement unique and regular communication with less effort and more intentionality. They will also have in their possession a personalised action plan to pursue their digital development, step by step, and transform the recommendations and good practices they have learned into strategies, procedures and company projects.

When? Thursdays 9, 16 and 23 November 2023, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Developing international markets through digital – Level-up

Who? Vaya Sigmas

Who is it for? Designers of fashion projects (clothing, accessories, jewellery) who have already implemented a coherent and attractive digital presence and want to accelerate their online commercial development with strategy, intelligence and personalisation.

What’s on the agenda? At the end of this advanced workshop, participants will leave with a thorough understanding of the concrete possibilities of digital to accelerate their business development. They will know what a fully operational CRM contains, be able to guarantee its accuracy and continuous updating, and know how to use it for high-performance 360° marketing.
They will be aware of the wide range of possibilities offered by marketing automation to acquire, convert and retain customers, and will know how to add intelligence and personalisation to their day-to-day communications. They will also learn about the concrete opportunities offered by online advertising in line with their business objectives. They will also be provided with a personalised action plan for transforming the advice and good practice they have learned into business strategies, procedures and projects.

When? Thursdays 30 November and 7 and 14 December 2023, from 10am to 4.30pm.

Who can apply?

This call is open to designers and professionals in the fashion sector (clothing, jewellery, accessories).

To take part, applicants must have a head office, subsidiary or branch in Wallonia or Brussels.

Candidatures

WBDM will select candidates on the basis of their online application file, including attachments: CV, portfolios, etc.

Deadlines for sending applications :

  • 3.09.2023 at midnight for the September workshops
  • 24.09.2023 at midnight for the October workshops
  • 22.10.2023 at midnight for the November workshops
  • 19.11.2023 midnight for the December workshops
