Duos en Résonances: a fresh chapter in the dialogue between design and craft.
The project Duos en Résonances, developed and supported by Wallonie Design, has reached an exciting new milestone: it now has its very own website, available at duosenresonances.be. This new digital space offers a comprehensive and dynamic showcase of a unique initiative that fosters collaboration between designers and craft artisans.
Since its first edition in 2017, Duos en Résonances has established itself as a creative laboratory for experimentation. Over several months, pairs of designers and craft professionals work together to explore materials, techniques and uses—without necessarily aiming for a finished product. The focus is on innovation, the transmission of rare skills, and a thoughtful approach to sustainability.
The new website reflects this richness and diversity. Visitors will find:
- a complete archive of past editions, featuring duo profiles, inspiring projects and key exhibitions;
- upcoming events, including exhibitions and gatherings centred around design and craftsmanship;
- calls for applications, for those interested in joining the adventure;
- and most notably, an interactive community page, where you can easily discover designers and craft artisans who have taken part in the project. It’s a valuable tool for building connections, expanding your network or simply finding inspiration. Many designers who have participated in a duo are or have been also supported by WBDM in their international development.
More than just a showcase, the website is a space for recognition, memory and connection. It embodies the spirit of the project – rooted in dialogue, experimentation and co-creation.
