2025 marks a major milestone for Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode and the Belgium is Design project. For the very first time, a collective stand of designers and craftspeople is taking part in the prestigious biennial Révélations, to be held at the Grand Palais in Paris.
Révélations: a not-to-be-missed event
Révélations is recognized as one of the most prestigious international events dedicated to creative craftsmanship. Every two years, it brings together exceptional artists, designers and craftsmen from all over the world to present their work to an audience of collectors, professionals and enlightened amateurs.
A showcase for Belgian talent
Under the Belgium is Design banner, WBDM has selected five contemporary designers and craftsmen who embody both tradition and innovation. Their work reflects Belgian excellence in a variety of fields, including furniture, objets d’art, ceramics and textiles.
The exhibition highlights the marriage of craftsmanship and modern technology, as the pieces on display reflect a subtle balance between heritage and innovation. True to its commitments, Belgium is Design highlights designers who place ecology and ethics at the heart of their approach. They also show an assertive Belgian identity: through clean lines, natural materials and an innate sense of functionality, Belgian designers stand out for their approach that is both poetic and pragmatic.
