Designer of the year 2011 : Nathalie DewezNathalie Dewez wins the Designer of the year 2011 award of the INTERIEUR Fondation.
After she graduated in 2001 from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Visuels de la Cambre (National Visual Arts School) in Brussesl in the Interior Design department, Nathalie Dewez (°1974) quickly found her way in lighting design. Nathalie pays particular attention to the duality of 'material/non-material'. She sees this as the core of all lighting objects, focusing on the functionality and quality of lighting, whether switched on or off. Nathalie's work is characterized by the sparing use of materials and focus on ease of production. The 'Designer of the Year' award is an initiative by the Interieur Foundation as well as the magazines Weekend Knack and Le Vif Weekend. The award is also supported by the Design Museum Gent and Grand-Hornu Images. Publication: 04/07/2011 Interesting site(s) | Find designer |
