The individual, a sense of fun and a rational perspective play an important part in the pieces that Lucile Soufflet has been creating for over a decade. What really matters to her, above and beyond the functional dimension, is what the object says: who is it talking to, what does it evoke, what questions does it ask and what social impact might it have? Dialogue, reflection and experiments are at the heart of the artistic process, with the goal of producing objects that have a meaning. Driven by her views on public spaces, Lucile specialises in designing urban furniture but also works on areas as diverse as crockery, tiling or glass.
