Kaisin Charles Furniture design - Environmental design - Product design

Selected by WBDM for its international events

Charles Kaisin studied design at the Royal College of Art and the university of Kyoto. His work centres mostly around two primary foundations: the extension of material, and its recycling. His now famous K-BENCH, with its bee-hive structure, shows to what extent the notion of extension can give the material particular properties and therefore allow the objet to be very ergonomic and original.
